I often here my husband tell his friends, "She's been great! She's not breaking dishes and hasn't called names" He laughs and smiles and and talks about how even tempered his pregnant wife is and how easy things have been. I think he is surprised by our uneventful journey of pregnancy. He was fully prepared for a stereotypical hormonal hollywood portrayed pregnant woman. Truth be told we experienced our fair share of hormonal mood swings while we were going through IVF. Three years of hormonal treatments, IVF consults, tens of thousands of dollars and disappointments will do a number on any couple. So pregnancy is like a breeze for us! I think we are so thankful to be pregnant and have endured a lot of hardship to get here that we find ourselves so thankful and focused on the outcome! Our little babe, due July 16th. Right smack dab in the middle of a Global Pandemic. I wouldn't expect nothing less for this little ones story. There are some tools I have under my belt to try to keep the stress levels down and air light in our home.
1. Always take a shower and get ready for the day.
Working from home can be a huge adjustment. Taking a shower putting on some makeup and clothes that make you feel good, is a huge mood booster. I am loving Rent the Runway. I've been an unlimited member for years and it has always served my work outfits and fancy outings well. Now that I am pregnant Rent the Runway opens up a lot of options without breaking the bank on clothes that I will only wear for a few months. Rent the Runway has a great app and is fun and easy to use. This outfit is from @renttherunway. Not to mention when you use Rent the Runway you do not have to do laundry! Bonus!

2. Try not to sweat the small stuff and laugh. Laugh a lot!
So he throws his towel on the floor after his shower. And so you leave your five purses on the dining room table. Try not to sweat the little things. Remember that being isolated and in quarantine is not a normal human experience and to be kind to yourself and your spouse. I know Brian and I are soaking up Netflix marathons and popcorn. After all, when will we have chance for a 7 hour Netflix marathon after baby gets here!
3. Get outside and walk!
Exercise releases endorphins that boost your energy and mood. Even a short 15 minute walk around the block can help you reset and reboot. If you have dogs like Bently and Mila they will appreciate it too.

4. Last but not least. Turn off your TV! Take some deep breaths, Meditate and Pray.
I have found there are times after to much Corona TV that I am filled with fear. After all the images and stories we are bombarded with on TV and social media it can be overwhelming. I try to play music instead of the news and when I am feeling fearful I take the time and I pray.
I hope you all stay safe during this crazy time. Feel free to connect with me anytime!
Cheers!
