Being pregnant during a pandemic can be an oddly lonely place considering you are really never alone with a beautiful baby growing inside you. I always felt a little sad that I wasn't able to share in all the normal pregnancy norms that moms experienced. You know the annoying ones: strangers touching your belly, people watching what you eat and asking if you are having twins...Jokes aside I tried to take advantage of the things that I did have in my control. One of those things being a Maternity Photo Shoot. Here’s what you should know.
Pick the right photographer that matches your style.
Yes friends now is the time to search Facebook and ask for recommendations in Mom groups. Remember photographers book out a ways and you will want to shoot at 32 to 36 weeks Pick a photographer that matches your vibe. Also keep in mind that this photographer will probably end up doing your baby photos too. It’s nice to keep with the same look.
Go to the photo shoot prepared.
Be sure to look through your photographers portfolio and pick out some of your favorite shots and practice some poses. Also, ask your photographer if they have any maternity dresses to wear during the shoot. This might save you some money! Maternity dresses can take awhile to ship so give yourself ample time to order. Choose your looks ahead of time. I recommend 2 looks. I chose this robe. You can find it here: http://etsy.me/2uWIeGn.

And a blue lace fitted dress that photographs beautifully. You can find a similar one on sale here: https://www.pinkblushmaternity.com/products/pinkblush-blue-lace-fitted-long-sleeve-maternity-dress.
Most important of all get a good nights rest. And have fun Mama. Being pregnant is a miracle and you will never regret documenting the experience!
