Oops FOX Did it Again...

I almost fell off my chair when I heard the news that FOX would be relaunching Joe Millionaire. My high school girlfriend called me after she heard the local radio station talking about the relaunch. Not soon after the trailers started to appear on TV, and there I was, yours truly! I never thought it would resurface. Honestly, for years I couldn't find an episode on YouTube. I spoke the words "Joe Millionaire" into my remote and guess what appeared on my flat screen. The entire season of Joe Millionaire ! What! One would think there would be a professional curtsey of some sort.

No hard feelings. I have been blindsided before when it comes to Joe Millionaire. So, here we are as the first episode is about to relaunch. A fairytale trip down memory lane. I decided I should probably refresh my memory and watch the entire first season. I hadn't seen this baby in 20 years. There were moments that I will never forget and always hoped everyone else would. After all, it was a noteworthy performance earning me the title as "Most hated Woman in the Twin Cities" by City Pages (a little local paper that probably doesn't exist anymore). I binged the entire first season with a bottle of wine and bucket of popcorn and to my surprise, I laughed. I laughed a lot. The entire thing is absolutely ridiculous. And it's funny. I was able to laugh at myself. I wasn't watching it waiting for the next shoe to drop. After 20 years, my season, which at one point in time had 40 million viewers and was considered very racy, seemed somewhat innocent.

I hope you join me in watching the relaunch of Joe Millionaire. I imagine it will have the same absurd storylines, Villans and crazy moments. All of which I can't wait to watch from my perspective.
